What Is an Online Quran Memorization Course?

An online Quran memorization course is a structured programme in which a student memorizes the Quran under a qualified teacher through live one-to-one video lessons, with personalised plans and regular revision.

How online Hifz lessons work

The student reads a portion with the teacher on Zoom, listens to the correct recitation, repeats it, and then recites from memory. Your tutor assigns new lessons (Sabaq), reviews recent lessons (Sabqi) and tests older material (Manzil), correcting pronunciation as you go.

Reading the Quran and memorizing it are different skills

Reading builds recognition of letters, words and verses. Memorizing builds retention. Many students read well but have never learned how to memorize. A dedicated Hifz method, with daily repetition and revision, makes the difference.

Why Tajweed and revision are not optional

Memorizing with mistakes makes them permanent. That is why Tajweed correction and regular revision are built into every lesson, not added later.

How the JHG ACADEMY Hifz Method Works

Every lesson follows the proven Sabaq, Sabqi and Manzil structure used by traditional Hifz teachers.

Sabaq - the new lesson

Select the new portion for the day. It is read with your tutor, repeated and memorized in small, manageable sections.

Sabqi - recent revision

Revise the last few days of lessons so that new memorization is firmly settled.

Manzil - older revision

Rotate through older memorized portions on a schedule so nothing is forgotten.

DURING HIFZ

Tajweed Correction During Hifz

Students memorize best when they recite correctly. Your tutor listens closely and corrects makharij, elongation, stopping and the main Tajweed rules as you memorize.

This means you memorize the right pronunciation from the first day, avoiding the need to unlearn mistakes later. Students who want deeper study can progress to our Advanced Tajweed course.
